Support Kitchen Chef & Instructor
Hannah Puralewski
Hannah is a full-time Sous Chef and part-time mental health advocate in Madison, WI. After surviving a suicide attempt 11 years ago, Hannah found cooking and has spent the last 10 years working in kitchens. Food is her favorite way to celebrate being alive, right here, in this moment, which has helped to guide her out of the darkness on many occasions.
Hannah has worked with community development organizations that focus on mental health, such as the Southwestern Wisconsin Behavioral Health Partnership in 2018-2022, and more recently, NAMI Dane County as a peer support group facilitator and a speaker on the lived experience panel for Crisis Intervention Trainings for local law enforcement.
Hannah believes that food is an important way to feel connected to the earth, to practice mindfulness, and to find reasons to live.
