A master trust arrangement established in a cooperative effort by the Wisconsin State Bar Association and aging and disability advocates, including NAMI Wisconsin. WisPACT allows you to assign part or all of your estate for the purpose of providing supplemental funds for your mentally ill dependent after you are gone without endangering his or her eligibility for public benefits (e.g., SSI, Medicaid).

Many food pantries require a referral from one of these agencies.

Delivery of hot, noontime meals seven days a week for those unable to prepare their own meals or do grocery shopping.

Provides low income customers with funds to buy food. Benefits distributed via Quest cards that work like debit cards.

Dept. of Civil Rights. Enforces the City of Madison Equal Opportunities Ordinance which prohibits discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations.

A legal assistant will analyze potential legal problems and help locate the best source of help. A service of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Free legal services provided to low-income persons and groups in Dane, Jefferson, Columbia, Rock, Dodge and Green Counties in such non-criminal matters as housing, welfare, consumer affairs, Social Security, disability and family law. They do not take criminal, traffic, bankruptcy, or fee generating cases.

State Public Defenders provide legal representation to inmates of state institutions and to individuals who are the subject of civil commitment or protective placement proceedings.
