Gentle Roots Virtual Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga
Gentle Roots is a virtual, trauma-informed practice combining restorative and yin yoga. Trauma-informed yoga takes a gentler, invitational approach that prioritizes creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals who have experienced trauma. Each session begins with 30 minutes of gentle, supportive movement, giving participants a chance to slow down and reconnect with their bodies at their own pace. We then close with time for reflection and conversation, where participants can talk through how the flow felt, check in on their mental health, and connect with others in a low-pressure setting.
This practice is a good fit for anyone looking for a gentler entry point into yoga, or for those who want movement paired with space to process and be heard.
