Who is it for?
Family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions.
In the program, you will learn about:
How to manage crises, solve problems, and communicate effectively
Taking care of yourself and managing your stress
Developing the confidence and stamina to provide support with compassion
Finding and using local supports and services
Up-to-date information on mental health conditions and how they affect the brain
Current treatments, including evidence-based therapies, medications and side effects
The impact of mental illness on the entire family
IMPORTANT: Session 1 for 2025 registration is now open, please submit an interest form (above) if you are interested. Registration closes Monday, December 16th and there is a 15 participant maximum to the class

Who is it for?
Adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery.
In the program, you will learn about:
Setting a vision and goals for the future
Partnering with health care providers
Developing confidence for making decisions
Practicing relaxation and stress reduction tools
Sharing your story
Strengthening relationships
Enhancing communication skills
Learning about mental health treatment options

HEARTS+Minds
Who is it for?
Any adult who is impacted by a mental health condition. This includes individuals living with a mental health condition, as well as family members, friends, and caregivers. Community members or helping professionals who frequently interact with individuals living with mental health conditions are also welcome to attend.
In the program, you will learn about:
How to advocate for your health
How physical and mental health are specifically connected
Gut health and how nutrition can affect the brain
Current information on the interplay of diet and fitness — and how they can influence your symptoms
Effective methods for managing the side effects of medication
Substance abuse and smoking cessation
How to gain a greater sense of control over how you feel
